First there was me…

I am passionate about my relationship with Jesus, and I want other people to experience the difference that relationship has made in my life.

I long for that relationship to be accessible to everyone.  I long for people to make a decision about Jesus because they see Him for who He really is.

I am a curious traveler, who loves learning languages and understanding new cultures.  I’ve lived/stayed extensively on five continents North America, South America, Europe, Asia (in the Middle East) and Australia.  But out of all of the experiences God’s allowed me to have, my favorite one is when I can sit down and worship and interact with Jesus.

I wrote Fish Food because I longed for people to see God the way I see Him – a God who longs to have a relationship with us!  A God who loves getting involved in the human story.  A God of compassion, emotion who is attentive and involved.  I wanted to write something I would read – something conversational and light with lots of stories (because I love stories!).  Get a sample chapter of Fish Food!

Then there was us…

Meet my Aussie husband, Peter.

I saw God’s amazing hand of provision in the way Peter and I met!  I go through all the juicy details of our story on this blog!  When I look at Pete, I’m reminded that God exists and that He loves to get involved in the human story.  It may not always come in the way we’re expecting, but if you look closely, you can see His fingerprints on the page.

Pete and I pray that God continuously uses our relationship to bring people closer to Him, and so far, we’ve been blessed to experience that.

These are some verses that have been giving me inspiration lately.

Verse of Inspiration:  The joy of the Lord is your strength.   Nehemiah 8:10

Everyone has the power for greatness, not for fame, but for greatness, because greatness is determined by service.”    Martin Luther King Jr.
