Did the “Single Ladies” song just pop into your head?
“All the single ladies! All the single ladies! All the single ladies! All the single ladies!”
This is just for you.
I remember going to weddings and hearing the DJ call all the single ladies to the floor to catch the bride’s bouquet. I can’t explain exactly what was going on inside my head but for some reason, I was so against trying to catch the bouquet. I think, somewhere in the back of my mind it was out of principle. The idea of jumping and stretching and fighting with other girls over a bouquet of flowers just somehow seemed to reflect real life – the quest and the fight to snag a guy. I wasn’t having any part of it.
Don’t worry, this is going to be much more painless than that.
When I first started blogging on this site, I never anticipated writing a love story. I mostly thought to write about my book. But then, life happened. I fell in love quite quickly, life moved ahead, and I saw God’s fingerprints all over my life, and I felt the need to explain to everyone what was happening.
As I think over my story, so much of my spiritual life has been tied into my romantic life. Singledom was such a huge part of my story. It defined a lot of the way I viewed God so I felt compelled to share what I learned from that time in my life.
There are lots of posts here on the blog that you, as a beautiful single sister might enjoy. I just want to put them all in one place for you.
